Today, I have a sad announcement to you.
I will end the production activities in SL.
I will not release new products in the future probably.
Therefore, I will be dissolved this blogger group.
I am also considering the closure of the SIM, but it is not decided yet.
I'm so sorry.

I feel completely bereft and will miss her creations and unique style dearly. As the future of WEG is as yet uncertain , I really felt compelled to take my virtual hasselblad over there and snap some images of this beautiful SIM.

It has often been used as a destination for photo shoots (including my own)

I have taken a shot of this particular space many times and yet everytime I go back ,
there always seems something more - a different way of seeing ...

Funny how a change in windlight can bring about things you missed in other settings.
I had never noticed that the sky was filled with shooting stars before *

World's End Garden by Lucia Genesis is a designer that D has previously written about in The Fashion Fish (February 2012) . D has always found her creations and aesthetic sense inspiring. Primavera is the latest collection from WEG and is available as a series of dresses and head ornaments gacha.

Inspired by the beautiful subtle florals and romance in the design , D decided to create the following series of images titled "Nostalgia" which is a muse on memory, romance and melancholy...

La Reve Illusoire - The illusory dream

It never ceases to amaze D just how talented and generous some designers in Second Life are. One such star is Lucia Genesis - creator of World's End Garden.  WEG sells an eclectic and moody assortment of props, landscaping items and apparel that can perhaps best be described as romantically surreal Victoriana.

With the exception of two gowns which D bought ( Sois mon valentin and Bernadette), the rest of this collection were picked up as group and board gifts. Inspired by the ephemeral nature of Second Life, and the beautiful surroundings of WEG's three destinations

D wanted to create a series of prints that captured the title of each dress as well as to portray a sense of decay in the following series of images.

The techniques used to create the polarised look of each image, is an attempt to fashion an imitation of an effect that occurs in antique photographic plates.
