The Fashion Fish : Spring Has Sprung!

springface2
A Spring Face II
Little Branch Willow Trees are seen in this image background. and are perfect heralds of the season.
They are a new release for the March round of Shiny Shabby

The Rebecca outfit from Blue Moon Enterprises is just the thing for spring!

A Spring Face I
Worn here with this beautiful Talia Heart necklace from Empyrean Forge
I can really appreciate and admire all the beautiful craftwork and detailing in the textures seen here
With the celtic patterns, tartan and embroidery flare running throughout, it also lends a certain medieval ethnicity to the piece.

I love the beautiful details that come with Ys&Ys' Belinda Skin (Here in Tone 01).
These pick up very well when using lighting for materials.
The same can be said for this closeup on the New Dela hair "Maddison" for Shiny Shabby's new March Round

The Fashion Fish : Breeze & Divergent

Dauntless - Sometimes when you fall you fly...
Dauntless
I've lots to write about really and my flickr stream is happily trickling along with all sorts of images I've made inspired by designers and events across the grid.

I have written a few blogs about Blue Moon Enterprises before and it's truly not hard to do as I find myself inspired by what they create and over such a vast range of items as well! I've been playing movie catchup over on Amazon prime. I'd seen "Divergent" on an aeroplane but never quite invested in its sequel. Still, as far as movies go - if you don't poke too many holes in the already thin plot, it's quite enjoyable.

The outfit in the above images is Breeze by BME  and has been crafted for the Fair Play event. The Fair Play event itself is an interesting one as it sets out to raise funds for Parkinsons and RFL .
This is one area in which  Second Life® might differ from other online "games".

I wanted to capture the details (and spirit) of Breeze - to show off the great leather/suede textures used together with the almost barely visible celtic pattern on the chest plate. These are things that I really admire and enjoy in creations - the subtle details that someone has thought off which you might hardly notice but that are there if you care to look. I'm very much that way myself.

The full outfit comes in several wearable parts - Skirt, Pants, Bustier and Arm Bracers. This enables you to mix and match your personal style. It is also fitted mesh* (for Slink though I've worn it in these pictures over Maitreya Lara) or to wear in full as in "Dauntless".

I've modelled it here with the Safeguard Necklace from Minimal which is out in Shiny Shabby (Till the new February round starts!) as well as this great new hairstyle (Arya) from Calico Hair for the We <3 RP event . This hair comes in two options for wearing and has a Hud that enables you to change the colours of the accessories in your hair. It also comes in a good range of different colour packs to suit most. It is rigged fairly well as you can see in the above images.

*Whilst this works fine for my photographs it may not wear as well with your AO.

Background for "Dauntless" was shot in Dead End

BambiChicque is the the Official Blogger Manager of the Medieval Fantasy Grid Crier and works tirelessly to promote the MFGC and to challenge MFGC bloggers creatively.
This is the first time that I've involved myself in such an enterprise - despite having had my blog for several years, I've never really got into the social media aspect of having a blog as much.

I do think it's good to have new challenges in a new year and this will be one of them!

●▬▬▬▬▬● - ̗̀ SOME RULES  ̖́- ●▬▬▬▬▬●

♥ Theme:  It's A Fantasy New Year" ♥

♥ No modern/fashion items or clothing or theme.

♥ Must be roleplay, medieval, elven, dwarfin, angelic or anything related to "fantasy"!

♥ Must utilize something from MFGC Designer's
furniture, decor, housing, dwellings, home & garden, etc.
(Not just set out a plant or candle).

♥ Must utilize something from MFGC Designer's clothing,
wardrobes, accessories, skins, tattoos, etc..

♥♥ Remember, you can always set up, take photos and rez at Dandelion Daydreams Factory if you don't have a place for yourself.  Contact them for rez rights.  (This is our MFGC Headquarters sim)

♥♥ This challenge is also a welcome to any other person who loves to blog, photograph and post in flickr.  Anyone may join the challenge.  But the gallery will be available to only our MFGC Blog Team.
If you fancy having a go why not give it a shot?

I like my images to speak for themselves so I try not to be too rambly about them.

Noble Creations who are part of the MFGC has designed the beautiful bath which I have transformed into a ship for my Dolly's adventures. They are also responsible for the deer chair and antique table/chair sets
Out at TFC from 21st till 15th Feb

Out at Secret Affair (till 29th)

Blue Moon Enterprises designed the rather handsome Fit Mesh costume attire my Male Dolly (Mr McDreamy) is wearing in " Live Extraordinary". It fits surprisingly well and this is a boon as it's not easy to find clothes to fit my Male COCO Doll

In "Drink Tea!"

The new stuff here is
Cheshire Cat Dress & Shoes by Remarkable Oblivion for Epiphany Gacha (I threw lots of money at this machine because the dresses and shoes are just wonderfully detailed and at $75L a pop, honestly a bargain.)

Signage " Down the Rabbit Hole" and " Mad Hatter Tea Party" from Boudoir. Boudoir have made quite a few lovely Alice in Wonderland Props and I thought these were just perfect for my ideas.

The Antique Table and Chairs + Deer Chair come from Noble Creations.

Alot of Vintage Arcade Stuff including some place settings and chairs from
Handverk Mad Tea Party Gacha and various other bits and pieces that I have hoarded and collected over the years.

My Doll Head is Gacha too  (Julia in Milk by Genesis Labs) - I've always thought that her frozen smile was a little creepy and never quite used it in making images .. till now. I think it's perfect here for being quite Cheshire catty!

For any other details that you may wish to know but are not listed here, please feel free to ask! I'll be happy to elaborate with more information if you need it!

The Art Fish : Tempus Regina

Tempus Regina II
Tempus Regina II

Tempus Regina
Tempus Regina I
Lately I've been helping someone put together a look that they liked from one of my previous shoots. Admittedly, I'm really not very good at documenting my processes for myself. It tends to be a whole session of experimentation and I very seldom save an outfit after I'm done with it. Helping this person has made me think that I should work on documenting my process more carefully perhaps in the following way...

Close crop for blog size : The detail in this crown from DM! is simply amazing.
I do suspect that the time an average person might take to look at an image on flickr or even a blog is possibly less than 5 seconds unless it really grabs them or if they enjoy looking at details. There is just so much to see and only so much time with which to see things. This idea of time has been weighing on my mind what with the new year and all and is the inspiration for the last few images I've been making.

Outfit Details
BMe or Blue Moon enterprises (Part of MFGC https://medievalsl.wordpress.com) is a designer that is new to me but what an amazing discovery! I really love the rich details in fabric that they have put into this dress. It comes in a few other colours but I have chosen to work with one called " Peace"
